Bible Note: YES Peter denied our Lord 3 times but Jesus did not hold this against him, Peter is still a man (not perfect) only God is perfect. You accepted Solomon words to be inspired words of God yet King Solomon is a known sinner with over 800 wives or concubines? FROM THE BEGINNING GOD HAS BEEN SHEPHERDING HIS CHILDREN...NOAH...ABRAHAM.....MOSES........POPE PETER........NOW POPE JOHN PAUL II Jesus also asked our First Pope Peter these questions “DO YOU LOVE ME PETER?” 3 times ”FEED MY LAMB” ”TEND MY SHEEP” read ..John 21:15, 16 and 17 Who feed the sheep? “DO YOU LOVE ME PETER?” FEED MY LAMB TEND MY SHEEP Who feed the sheep? THE SHEPHERD - FATHER - PAPA – we now call POPE Primacy of Peter (Our First Pope) REMEMBER THESE VERSES …Mt. 16:18-19, Is. 22:22, Lk. 22:32, Jn. 21:17, Mk. 16:17, Lk. 24:34, Acts 1:13-26, Acts 2:14, Acts 3:6-7, Acts 5:1-11, Acts 8:21, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 15:7, Acts15:19, Gal 1:18, Gal 2:11-14, Mt 10:1-4; Mk 3:16-19; Lk 6:14-16; Acts 1:13 - Peter name always heads list of Apostles…. Lk 9:32; Mk 16:7 - "Peter and his companions" …..Mt 18:21; Mk 8:29; Lk 8:45, 12:41; Jn 6:69 spoke for Apostles …. Peters name occurs 195, more times than the other Apostles put together ABOUT HOLINESS OF THE CHURCH HIS CHURCH IS HOLY (Eph. 5:25–27, Rev. 19:7–8) By his grace Jesus makes the Church holy, just as he is holy. This doesnt mean that each member is always holy. Jesus said there would be both good and bad members in the Church (John 6:70), and not all the members would go to heaven (Matt. 7:21–23). But the Church itself is holy because it is the source of holiness and is the guardian of the special means of grace Jesus established, the sacraments (cf. Eph. 5:26). It's good that people expect too much from our priests (to be holy, pure and sinless) they put him on a pedestal. Most people put to much FAITH on their priest, pastors, and ministers and when they committed an scandalous sin they lost thier faith in their church, since their faith is based on their expectations and not soley on Jesus. This is the main reason that non Catholic christians can church HOP or go church (s) hopping anytime they feel that their church does not serve their self vested interest. Worse is they aslo believed as long they have the word (The Bible) they can start their own churches any time they feel like it. Although popular with many "Bible Christian" churches, the "Bible alone" theory simply does not Work in practice. Historical experience disproves it. Each year we see additional splintering among "Bible-believing" religions. Today there are over 33,000 competing denominations, each insisting its interpretation of the Bible is the correct one. The resulting divisions have caused untold confusion among millions of sincere but misled Christians. Just open up the Yellow Pages of your telephone book and see how many different denominations are listed, each claiming to go by the "Bible alone," but no two of them agreeing on exactly what the Bible means. We know this for sure: The Holy Spirit cannot be the author of this confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). God cannot lead people to contradictory beliefs because his truth is one. The conclusion? The "Bible alone" theory must be false. |
