Bible Note: savedsince1980: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. There are many places in our country that jobs are just not there to find. My question to you is what about those in the church that can not find work of any kind. Even with those who work at looking for work in every way possible and can not even get work at a fast food place, what should the church do then. I personally have taken jobs that were considered the bottom of the barrel jobs and know what it is to support a family of six. This was some years ago but I was willing to take anything. That being said there are places today jobs just are not there no matter how lowley they are. I have found that the disabled have it very hard in finding work. Often these people look healthy and in good shape, but some are suffering very serious health problems. That's where the disabled are often judged very wrong as being able to take just any job. Even while pastoring a small church I have worked at several jobs that kept me humble and in touch with the low paid hard working people in the church. So I fully understand the issues on how much we help those in financial need. My opinion is we should help those in need and let the Lord be praised in our love showed to those in need. By our love to one another the world sees how Christ loves us. What are your thoughts? justme |
