Bible Note: Hi Lionheart, I'm not aware of anywhere that the Bible explicitly says who this restrainer is. I have heard that the restrainer is spoken of in both masculine and neuter genders, and for that reason can only be the Holy Spirit, but I don't know enough about the Greek to know if that's true. But all the verses I can find that make specific statements of someone holding back evil, it always seems to be God doing it. Can you think of any exceptions to that? Love in Christ, Mark |
