Subject: How to exercize the gift of prophecy? |
Bible Note: Darcy I agree we shouldn't seek to die, death is our enemy. However this passage plainly tells us Earth is not our home nor should we desire to remain here. Hebrews 11:13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [14] For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. [15] And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. [16] But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. DairyLeader said he was given 2 weeks warning he was going to die. If God tells you your going to die whether it be through a prophecy or a doctor saying, “I have a bad report”, we can know our work on earth is finished. If our work is finished then we should be ready and willing to go home. God will not let any of us die 1 second before our work here on earth is finished. We have been called to our reward. We have examples of people that have had their lives extended. Hezekiah is a good example, I think everyone would agree for his sake and the sake of Israel it would have been better that his life wasn't extended. Hebrews 11:9-10 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; [10] for he WAITED for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (emphasis mine) When we die we go home, we go to where we belong not as foreigners or pilgrims but as blessed children of the King. To live and reign with Him in a place described in Rev. 21:4 as “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." You tell me do you want someone to pray you back from this? EdB |
