Subject: In Jesus' name...except baptism? |
Bible Note: The likelihood of your persuading anyone who studys the Bible is highly unlikely. The evidence points to salvation by grace through faith. In other words...Nothing we can do (including being baptized whether in Jesus name, or in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost) saves anyone! Did circumcision save the Jews? No! Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God. If, indeed, you have trusted in Christ as your only hope, then you would understand that any works of your own are an attempt to add something to what He has already accomplished. When He said "it is finished", He meant it! The works that are pleasing to God are not those which are an effort to save ourselves. They are the works that God has foreordained, and the result of our being one in Him. Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. John |
