NASB | Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. |

Bible Note: Dear David, Do these kinds of problems arise in languages like Manderin, Malay, or Tamil? I imagine so because these things are "not as the world knows." One must also keep in mind that the peace of God supercedes the turmoil that may be surrounding us. My wife and I remind one another to, "Keep your eyes on the prize!" What a blessing that we have a hope and a peace that is more certain than what we experience "more directly." In Him, Doc PS Don't apologize for rephrasing. Rewording something can be helpful for everyone! |
