Bible Note: kkh924: You are welcome, sir. It seems to me that the article I quoted from Baker's is factual and presents both sides of the argument, without making any dogmatic conclusions. I know I learned a lot from reading the entire article, which is found under the main article, "The Law." The believer's relationship to the law is not all that cut and dried. It's something I have been looking into for years and am still looking into. Indeed, as the author says, "The NT's statements about OT law are difficult to harmonize." Yet, knowing that Scripture never contradicts itself, we have to keep going until we find the lowest common denominator, that which will finally harmonize apparently conflicting Scripture passages.
