NASB | Deuteronomy 24:4 then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Deuteronomy 24:4 then her former husband who [first] sent her away may not take her again as his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an outrage before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance. |
Subject: CAN YOU REMARRY THE SAME SPOUSE |
Bible Note: Hello kalos Deut 24 is speaking of a divorce where the spouse remarries, loses the new spouse, and then considers remarrying the first spouse. However, it does not stop me from emphatically saying that I am not under the Law. The things you mentioned are not suddenly allowed under grace. I'm sure I could easily find verses on sexual sins and occult practices in the NT. Steve |
