Subject: why did God put the devil on earth ? |
Bible Note: Dear Brother Brad, Very good observations. Here's generally how I reason through the question of evil: God is all loving and all powerful; since He is all powerful, He is able to end all evil; since He is all loving, He desires the end of all evil; however, evil still exists. Therefore, I can draw two conclusions: (1) God has a good purpose for evil, and (2) God will inevitably destroy evil. This line of reasoning is, I believe, supported by the history of redemption as revealed in Scripture, wherein further explanation is offered. Indeed, I would even posit that Christianity affords the only perspective in which evil does not create logical problems. As always, I appreciate your posts, Brad. In Him, Doc |
