Ps 37:4 I admit that you have made a plausible argument in support of praying for luxuries. If God gives you the desire then why would it be wrong to ask Him to provide whatever it is that we want? Personally the thought of praying for opulence upsets my stomach a bit. I had better have a real good reason. Question: How are we to be certain that any particular desire is in accordance with His will? One may be praying for a sick child, for instance. But the child dies in spite of the prayer. How would you, Sister M., comfort the child's grieving Mother? John |
