AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 13:5 ¶ Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit? |

Bible Note: Dear Kosch -- The views expressed in your post #173452 may possibly reflect in a vague sort of way the position of some errant off shoots of Calvinism -- those who have been called extreme or hyper Calvinists -- but they don't quite do justice to the soteriology of John Calvin. No Calvinist that I have ever known in the flesh or by his written works has ever remotely hinted that there is no need to study Scripture. The author quite obviously needs to brush up on his Calvinism because it is easy enough to infer from his piece that he knows little about it and understands even less. --Hank |
