AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 13:5 ¶ Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit? |
Subject: Bible says WHAT is proof of saving faith |
Bible Note: Hello JVH! According to our Lord, (Matthew 7:16-17, John 4:36) we will know those who do/do not have a genuine saving faith by observing a person's fruit, or the substance of their character based on their actions and words. What "fruits" determine who is genuine and who is not? We must look towards the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), which is preceded by the fruits of iniquity. Those who are 'genuine' will produce 'good' fruit in every work (Col. 1:10). I believe that there is a direct relationship between how we act or what we say and where we are with the Lord Jesus Christ (relationshipwise). |
