AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 13:5 ¶ Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit? |
Bible Question:
What kind of things do and do not prove the genuineness of saving faith? This question is not about judging others. It is about testing OURSELVES to see if WE are in the faith. It is about examining OURSELVES, not others. |
Bible Answer: The biggest thing for me is that I find I am able to see others more in the light of how God sees them. And it is not that I succeed, but that I know I have to try. Forgiving was the hard one for me. But I find, that the more I forgive, the more I am able to forgive. Just having the Holy Spirit there, pricking my spirit, is something that I never had before I came to Jesus. |
