NASB | 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 11:4 For [you seem willing to allow it] if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted. You tolerate all this beautifully [welcoming the deception]. |

Bible Note: Greetings Victor! As one of the 'veterans' on this forum, may I respond to your points? There is such a thing a being 'too open minded' so that one becomes 'wishy washy' (theological jargon for 'unstable')! :-) I believe what I believe because I have studied these issues for many years. I have been a Christian for about 35 years now. I have been involved in higher education (liberal arts) for about 7 to 8 years. There aren't many theological positions that I have heard and examined at one point or another. My views have evolved over the years and grown in depth. As with me, most of the 'veterans' on this site have been Christians for many years and have developed their theologies over many years. If you would give us a chance, you would find that we are able to dialogue with those who hold different positions than we do. But, don't expect us to simply drop what we have learned over the course of many years because someone else thinks 'their' view is better or more biblical. :-) You seem to be making many ungrounded assumptions about people whom you know nothing about. You don't know how my theology has evolved. You don't how much time and effort I put into studying the history of theology. Let's lay aside the labels and get on with studying God's Word. :) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
