Bible Note: Tamara- I believe the important thing here is that you have apparently searched both the Scripture and the counsel of spiritual leaders and, apparently, arrived a a conclusion. That is to be applauded. In the end, if you are convinced that something is sinful, then I believe Scripture teaches us that for you, it would be sinful. It is important to seek God's truth and strive to live up to the standard He has called us by His grace. It is also important to never allowing ourselves to take a legalistic approach to living the Christian life. It is interesting that immediately after Paul mentioned that adulterers (among others) will not inherit God's Kingdom (1Cor 6:9) he said “Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be brought under the control of anything."
