Subject: Divorced Do Christians Get Remarried? |
Bible Note: Dear Jeff, If you wouldn't mind my interjecting here... You wrote, "...there is nothing in Scripture that teaches that a Christian participating in sin (even willfully) forfeits his/her salvation." That is true. However, I am always afraid of the ditch on the other side of the road! So permit me to add: There are Scriptures that state that habitual and willful sinning is not characteristic of someone who is saved (Hebrews 10:23-27; 1 John 3:9). This is why the Word encourages us to be as careful as we can about the question of our salvation (Philippians 2:12). If we judge ourselves, we can avoid judgment (1 Corinthians 11:31). We should be constantly examining ourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5), looking constantly into the mirror of the Word, to determine if we are of the faith. In Him, Doc |
