Bible Question:
What if a day for God is like a thousand years for men. What if God started the processus of terraforming and then the processus of life and every so often He would step in and redirect all of that in any direction He'd choose. What if the "dust of the earth" means the elements that at the moment of the dawning of man where (by then) already created. What if God went through some work before He was satisfied with the results. What if apes, for exemple, and then hominids and then Neanderthals where just that, a stage before the final result of Man. What if apes where allowed to remain in their state because far enough from the final result, but hominids and others where removed because too close to but not perfect for God desires. Could this include evolution into the Creation? I sure don't mean to sound heretic. It's just that some things about evolution seem to make sense but not on their own only. Somewhere in the Scriptures i've read that the lengt of time is not the same for God and man. Does anything in the Bible confirms or deny the possibility of some of my "what if". Please do not feel outraged at my questions I'm sincerely trying to make sense of what I see. I'm a newcomer as a believer. Does anything in the Scriptures forbid to question Them for clarification? Do we have to take everything that is written as it is? I have the impression that our Creator gave us intelligence to inquire on things but maybe somethings need to remain unquestioned. Please be kind in your reply and keep it simple as english is not my language. If this is not the right forum for me, please let me know. God bless you all |
Bible Answer: Hello Lucciola, a big welcome to the family of God! And welcome to the forum! These are all questions that I have asked. As a new believer, I had been an evolutionist and had many questions just like the ones you are asking. Evolution used to make a lot of sense to me, but just not the idea that life could start on it's own, the better I know our Lord and God the more I think that the reason he didn't give us that much information on HOW he created us is because that is NOT important, what is important, is to keep our eyes on Jesus and to do his will and desire, for us. How he did it is not an issue when it comes to pleasing Him. Just be grateful that He did it, and gave us the opportunity to know Him. By the way, things will become more clear, as you study His word. Also, you may want to be careful about asking those kind of questions, as some do get offended and will try to get you on the "right track" as if you could somehow lose your salvation if you don't see creation exactly as they do. You can be sure that you will change your view, this may take time, the Holly Spirit is a gentleman and will not shock you into submission. Keep your eyes on Jesus my new sister. Don't worry about how He did it, just thank Him for doing it! God bless you John |
