Bible Note: Hello who..., We can agree with the principle that scripture interprets scripture and that even godly men are not perfect. However, one still has to arrive at an interpretation of the passage at hand. Are you saying that "your interpretation" is the correct one and that it was given to you directly "by the Spirit" unaided in any other way? 1 Cor. 1:10 is one of the more challenging passages in the NT. As far as I'm aware, there are many sound views as to what "to telion"- the perfect- means, but no consensus. There are also many unfounded views. Since scripture doesn't explicitly say what "the perfect" is, can you be absolutley certain that you know? Personally, I think we should be clear about things scripture itself is clear about, but avoid making dogmatic statements about things that are not:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
