Subject: Baptism in the Holy Spirit? |
Bible Note: Greetings Emmaus! As you know from my many posts on this subject, I believe that baptism is important simply because it was commanded by Christ. But, I do not believe that it is 'necessary' for salvation. In other words, I do not believe that baptism imparts or is necessary to receive the grace of God. Disciplerami's statement sounds nice, but there is not Scripture which says, "When you are baptized, you receive my grace". :-) The reason those like me seperate baptism and grace is simply because to mix the two makes it a work, which cannot save. It is a response to God's grace, not a means of receiving it. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
