Bible Note: Greetings, “Assuming” that your assumption is true with regard to the continuation of just even the first part of Eph 4:11, i.e. the apostles; what is the prerequisite to be an apostle and could there be a person alive to fulfill it? Acts 1:20-22 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. Verse 22 puts a halt to the possibility. “a witness with us of his resurrection” Even if there were apostles, they couldn’t improve on God’s "completed Cannon of Scripture" or don’t you believe that God’s perfect written Word is totally sufficient coupled with the working of God the Holy Spirit?
