Bible Note: Dear Brother Tim, Translation is so very difficult at times, isn't it? One of my profs is a recognized Biblical Languages expert. He has a book as required reading for his second year Greek students. It contains all of the mistakes and misunderstandings that people make in interpreting the Greek -- it even includes mistakes the author made! I've been meaning to ask you: Since you have the ability to read in the Greek, do you use the Greek exclusively? If so, are the problems like the one you mentioned in this thread, mitigated? Thanks, as always, brother Tim, for your very useful contributions to the forum! In Him, Doc |
