Bible Question: i can understand the warning to avoid sin. my problem arises when it is now talking to people who have been saved... and thus have eternal life. what is it warning against? or is it saying this to those who "think" they are saved but have not truly committed to Christ? |
Bible Answer: "have eternal life" as you mentioned is present tense. The future tense of eternal life depends on abiding or remaining in Christ. (see John 15) He that endureth till the end the same shall be saved. We need to go the distance. to persevere. |
