Subject: Women Preachers? Yes or No? |
Bible Note: Jeff Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. I think it is quite clear in context that there is no deferentiation between male, female, black, white, greek or Jew, or any ethnicity. We came in by faith and we remain in by faith. 1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1Ti 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 1Ti 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. In this passage the word "woman" in the greek ..(Look it up for your self) also means "wife" and in context it is saying ...do not usurp your husbands authority. I think it is interesting that men/women who like to argue, instead of doing what Jesus commands, ie. preach the gospel to the lost, and disciple others, use their energy to get into theological debates. |
