Bible Question: I still don't know where it talks about sex before marriage or sex b4 marriage results in not going to heaven |
Bible Answer: Hello 1 2Bsaved! The Song of Solomon declares a foundational principle for lovers. Three times it gives the exhortation: "Do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases" (Song 2:7; 3:5; 8:4). In this way the poem recognizes that the erotic passions of youth can be aroused before a relationship of true commitment has been established. Having sex before marriage will not in itself condemn you to hell. However, ANY sexual activity outside of the marriage relationship is sin! (Matthew 5:27-28) Sex, then, is a jewel that must await the right setting. If you are a single person, Scripture encourages you to let sexual intercourse wait until marriage. Society tells you that it is impossible to control yourself, but that is a lie! With God's help, you can remain chaste (Jude 1:24). You can hold onto one of your most precious gifts until the right time, with the right person, in the right relationship that has God's every blessing! --Nicodemus |
