NASB | Romans 7:7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 7:7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, if it had not been for the Law, I would not have recognized sin. For I would not have known [for example] about coveting [what belongs to another, and would have had no sense of guilt] if the Law had not [repeatedly] said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET." [Ex 20:17; Deut 5:21] |
Subject: Are you prepared for the truth? |
Bible Note: Carlos, It is clearly obvious that you have a heart for God.I;d like to encourage you with a few things here. One of the first passages of scripture I studied out after becomming a disciple of Jesus Christ was 2 Peter 1:1-15. This passage has served me well over the years. God doesnt want us to waste our relationship with him.He wants us to nurture and cultivate it. He wants our walk with him to be effective. This passage has always been a major source of encouragement to me and still is after all these years. I've heard the term blind faith used over the years, there is no such animal where Gods people are concerned. Hebrews 11:1, 12:1 are blockbusters. We may not understand it all,but I assure you that God has given us all the evidence we will ever need. It's all right there in front of us in His Word. Do 2 Timothy 2:15 every day. God is always faithful and so must we be. The day will come when it will all be crystal clear for us. Till then we just trust God and keep our focus on him. In Christ, lionheart |
