Subject: Can we live life without sinning? |
Bible Note: Greetings Kcabml4! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you my friend! I'm not sure if I am following your point correctly, but it seems that you are saying that not only is it possible for a believer not to sin, but it is impossible for a believer to sin. You cited several verses from 1 John. I would call your attention to 1 John 1:8-10, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives." We all have sinned, and even though we are in Christ, the possibility of sin remains. What has changed is that we are no longer slaves to sin. We can yield to it, but we don't have to do so.
