Personal profile for user screen name: peacebestill Psalm 46:10 Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the Earth.peacebestill I have been a believer for 35 years. Christ is my all in all, I was lost, but Jesus found me, I was bound, but Jesus released my bonds. Jesus changed my life and turned it around from an existence of despair and excesses to a life in Him. I am single and have learned to live in alone with Christ and find rest and peace in Him and Him alone. I believe that Jesus is God and that He died and rose from the dead for my sins. I believe in the Holy Spirit, and His ministry in the life of those who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation, and in the world to judge it, convict it of sin, and of not believing in Jesus Christ. I believe in the Father God the Supreme Head of the Sovereign Trinity. I believe in the church as the body of believers to glorify and worship a Holy God, to go out and offer salvation to the lost, and to teach believers the Holy Word of God. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the inerrant and infallible Word of God, and that it is the final authority over the affairs and counsel of all men. I believe that baptism is a symbol holding no power of graces to be conferred onto the believer other than entry into the church, as it is a symbol of the Lord going down into the grave and raising from the same, and that believers partake of it in order that they should make a public confession of their death to sin in Christ as believers, and of their being raised up from that death into the life of Christ as a part of that public confession to the body of Christ. I believe that the Lord’s Supper is a symbol and that it confers no power of graces other than that it is a public recognition by the believer of the Lord’s death until He comes, and that in taking the Lord’s Supper the believer has made a personal self examination of their entire lives since their last Lord’s Supper on a daily and weekly basis in preparation to partake, as the partaking of the Lord’s Supper is a solemn recognition of the sacrifice of Christ, and that before partaking of it our responsibility to Him, is to see if we have remained in the faith and to seek forgiveness from Christ if we have sinned. I believe once saved always saved, by grace alone, by faith alone. I believe that the reason for the creation of man and of all things is to glorify God. I am a Sunday school teacher now for some time of an adult Bible study held at my church. I have had the pleasure to be in a church that has as its foundation since its founding in 1893, a teaching ministry first and foremost, upheld by the current pastorate. And at the present time, has second, the proclamation of the Gospel, to those who believe and to the lost. Third, it is my pleasure to be in a church where the love of Christ abounds to the glory of God. And fourth, has a pastoral leadership whose members reflect the life of Christ and whose ministries are geared towards serving God and the members in that order. And fifth, boards who respond to the guiding hand of the pastorate gladly, even though decisions in the body outside of matters of the educational department and the pulpit are made by the polity.
