Subject: How do we love those in sin |
Bible Note: Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Matthew 19:19 honor your father and mother, and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[ 19:19 Lev. 19:18] " You have to love your sister with the agape love of Jesus Christ (unconditional love). God loved you when you were in sin and He still forgives you when you fall short of His glory, so He commands us to do the same, but you can only do that through the Holy Spirit and His power. Ask God to help you to forgive and love her. The bible says, "by love and kindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31:3)" You can't be a witness and be judgmental. Your sister will feel the resentment and in no way is that drawing her closer to God. |
