Bible Question: Can one dismiss a person’s exegesis of a given passage by simply saying, "That’s just your interpretation"? |
Bible Answer: Hi Kalos, I believe that you chose this verse, Romans 4:3, for the reference for your question. Let me offer the passage in the King James and ask for your interpretation from the standpoint of how you look at God. Romans 4:1-5, King James, "What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the Scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh not, but believeth on ***him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." What is your interpretation of the "***him" of verse four? Or how do we look at Romans 10:14 in the King James? From the heart, Ray |
