AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:31 ¶ Do we then nullify the Law by this faith [making the Law of no effect, overthrowing it]? Certainly not! On the contrary, we confirm and establish and uphold the Law [since it convicts us all of sin, pointing to the need for salvation]. |
Bible Question (short): have been enabled to fulfill? |
Question (full): Hi Ray, I am getting 2 things from your answer. First from Rom 2:29, that one is not circumsized in the heart by keeping the law but having been circumsized by faith we are now able to keep the law. Mt 5:19 says it is very important to keep all righteousness, that is not sin, and to solemnly point all others in the same direction. There is great urgency in this command. Does not Rom 8:4 say that He has enabled US fulfill the righteous requirements of the law? Rom 8:4 "so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." Have I got your meaning? tortoise |
