Bible Question: A question that has been plaguing me. I believe that christians are sinners because they still commint sin after they become christians. however a person who i was discussing this with says that based on one of paul's letters christians are not sinners. could someone shed some light on this matter? if possible include bible refference. |
Bible Answer: People are sinners, Christians of course commit sin, but not as what we are before before knowing Christ. For example, if I am a hired killer before, I killed in order to earn a living, then I am called for salvation, I dont think that I will commit this kind of sin again. Paul said: Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Being a Christian, Christ live in us and not ours, so it is impossible to commit the same sin if Christ lives in you, if I still can be a hired killer at the same time a Christian what kind of christ is that lives in me?
