Bible Question: What happens to a person who lives in the wilderness of a foreign country and never had the opportunity to hear the gospel or even the name of Jesus, does that person go to hell for not accepting Jesus? |
Bible Answer: Hello otis, My comments are along the lines of Seedling's scripture (Titus 2:1). What about those that lived before Christ or even before the law of Moses? Weren't they in the same situation? Would your question apply to them? Did they "hear the gospel or even the name of Jesus?" Abraham is one who died before Christ, of course he has salvation. The greatness of God's plan of salvation through Jesus Christ is that it covered all people of all time: Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Also see Hebrews chapter 11. Hope this helps, Pastor Glenn |
