Bible Question: What happens to a person who lives in the wilderness of a foreign country and never had the opportunity to hear the gospel or even the name of Jesus, does that person go to hell for not accepting Jesus? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Otis! Your question has a built-in response on its clause: "for not accepting Jesus?" A person who is ignorant (lacking awareness/knowledge) of Jesus cannot willfully reject Him! ...I will further define the scenario: say that person meets someone who tells him/her about Jesus... and that person realizes that his/her life up to that moment has been in compliance with Jesus' Gospel... though not having an intimate knowlege of Jesus that person has been, by nature, part of the fold... Now, reverse that... let's say that that person realized that he/she had been living a life contrary to Jesus' Gospel and he/she refuses to repent and accept Jesus... the rewards for sin is death! If that person dies rejecting Jesus there's no one to intercede (Jesus is the Resurrection and Life) on his/her behalf. God Bless! Angel |
