NASB | Romans 2:13 for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 2:13 For it is not those who merely hear the Law [as it is read aloud] who are just or righteous before God, but it is those who [actually] obey the Law who will be justified [pronounced free of the guilt of sin and declared acceptable to Him]. |
Subject: Doers of the Law means...?? |
Bible Note: Hank: I'm familiar with the Cotton Patch Gospel, having read it decades ago when it first came out. At the time I thought it was a little offbeat. Since then the word "offbeat" has been re-defined. Soon normal will be considered offbeat and offbeat will be considered normal. :-) Captain Kangaroo would be an improvement over much that I've seen on the Forum this morning. Certainly Bunny Rabbit and Mr. Green Jeans would be more edifying. Kalos |
