Bible Question:
Looking for scripture but first of all thanks to all who have awnsered my previus questions, in the past. Ecspecially Emmaus with a post on question ID 108884. I read his reply on almost daily basis and it made alot of difference. May God bless those on this board who give good counsel from Gods word. Now another question I find my self dealing with today. MY wife, good at heart and attends church, is now "needing some time for herself, girls night" out on a regular basis. Not bar hoping but dinner or a movie. I have no quam with this but the girls, other then our daughter, our all single and non church attenders. My wife is faithfull today and I trust her but isn't this a path to danger. Is there any scripture I can show her to help me combat this. Or am I just be to cautious or jealous. I don't mean to air out my laundry, its just last time I got good adivse here, thought....okay lets see. |
Bible Answer: I would base my answer to that question on all the Scriptures that command us to witness to the world. From what you are saying, is sounds as though your wife is behaving in a Christian way, just hanging out with people that you would prefer her not to. If I am correctly hearing you, then I would encourage you to hear me out on the following. As a child, I grew up in the Amazon jungles of Venezuela. My parents were missionaries. As such, they spent a lot of time playing games and eating and having fun with people who were not just sinners, but were involved in witch craft and such. It took a long time before my parents knew enough of the language and culture and were friends with these people enough to really impact their lives, but many got saved. Please consider this and they way that Jesus ate with the tax collectors when considering your dilema with your wife. I hope that I have not offended you in any way with this answer. God bless you! |
