Subject: To be saved must we be baptised? |
Bible Note: Hi disciplerami, What do you mean..without the works there is no faith? The scripture says that faith without works is dead. Faith is active not passive.Hope is passive. Faith acted on is works but works do not produce faith. Faith that does not work is not faith. Faith hears the Word then says 'I believe God' and then acts in obedience to that Word. 'By faith in Christ' Here again one hears the Word and believes with the heart(faith) THEN acts accordingly. The acts of obedience are the result of a changed heart, not the heart changing after we act. Faith is HEART BELIEF in which the actions or works follow. God bless, |
