AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. |
Subject: To be saved must we be baptised? |
Bible Note: Thank you sniper, your answer is spot on. It would be good if all believers studied the examples given in Acts, They would find that in everyone one baptism is mentioned either directly or indirectly, taught and carried out. It puzzles me why there is so much rejection of baptism, which is a simple act of obedience. Repentance is the really hard part by comparison. Thanks again. I note that you made mention of the 'sinners prayer' which is a man made doctrine. This is a modern apostacy and false teaching that prevents men from being saved It became formalized as a theology in the mid 1950's and used in interdenominational crusades. |
