Bible Question: if one member of the household is saved, is this a promise that the whole household will be saved also. |
Bible Answer: Hi donna robertson, A comparison of the verses given to you so far show how it is up to each one of us to walk in faith and develop our convictions and opinions. 1 Corinthians 7:17, "Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk..." Romans 14:12, "So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God." We all have our own opinions on how we should walk, but the important thing is to keep the commandments of God. Romans 14:21, "It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles. The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God./ Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves." 1 Cor 7:24, "Brethren, let each man remain with God in that condition in which he was called. Now concerning virgins I have no command of the Lord, but I give an opinion as one who by the mercy of the Lord/ is trustworthy." We all have our convictions and opinions, but what is important is obeying the commandments of God; things that we are convinced of in the Lord Jesus. From the heart, Ray |
