Subject: The Author's Role |
Bible Note: Dear Newwine, Calm down my friend :-) As far as I know brother John, he always possesses a ready to learn spirit together with a tough and firm position in espousing the sola Scriptura. I am afraid your statement "If you took my honest correction, as a personal attack, or an affront to your biblical knowledge..." is not a correct assessment of his character. Psalm 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard, It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing--life forever. Now, I have checked the scripture concerning the change of Paul's role in Acts and please see below findings. Paul was called disciple at first in Acts 9:27 "But Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how at Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus." Only starting Acts 14:14, he began to be called apostle... "But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out..." Shalom Azure |
