Subject: Is baptism necessary for salvation? |
Bible Note: Let's just look at Acts 22:16, because some people have a hard time believing what is said about baptism, "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Now you all can place baptism where ever you want to, but tell me if Ananias told Saul the truth or not in what he told Saul to "do". Either this is a contradiction, or a lie! Maybe something is lost in understanding when a person is added to the kingdom of God, BY THE LORD, is it before or after baptism in water. Acts 2:47, John 3:5 say you get into the kingdom of heaven by water and the Spirit. To me that means the same time one is baptized. John the Baptist was great, but he at is least in the kingdom of heaven (the church) is greater than he. Why is that? John was not baptized into the kingdom of Christ Acts 19:1-5. |
