AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 5:18 This made the Jews more determined than ever to kill Him, for not only was He breaking the Sabbath [from their viewpoint], but He was also calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God. |
Subject: What is Mormon relation w/Jesus? |
Bible Note: Yeah, a lot of bad information that is TRUE... :) Notice that Rick did not say that the Father and the Son are one God. Nor did he say that the Son (nor the Father for that matter) are uncreated, having always been God. He also said that without His sacrifice for our sins we cannot make it back to the Father. Ask him WHERE Christ made that sacrifice, and if Christ's sacrifice ALONE is sufficient to bring us to the Father. What you have here is careful LDS obfuscation of their beliefs so that, while they are not directly lying to you, they are still trying to be deceptive in letting you think they share the same beliefs as "other Christians." Another fun question to make him show what he really believes about "other denominations" is to ask him where the church of Jesus Christ was before the 1820s. Have fun! It has been a long time since I have shared the truth with a Mormon...I kinda miss it! --Joe! |
