Subject: Living together |
Bible Note: Hey John, you know we could try it your way. If they didn't repent, they probably wouldn't be offering a second invitation. I agree with you there is not a reason to not give your idea a try. Most people though have trouble talking about Jesus to christians much less the openly rebelious, i.e., living in sin. Birds of a feather flock together. I was just saying if we go along with people in their sin and act as though there is nothing wrong with it we are somehow aiding and abedding the enemy. If you bring up the subject of what Christ has said about it then I think that would be perfectly fine, you have fulfilled your obligation to state the truth in love and gentleness of course. Of course, most people living like that have a reason to be living like that and only Christ could change them. I guess there would be no reason to change if everyone went along with their program. I think sin is very serious and open rebellion is very serious so how would you deal with it after you have shared the gospel. Their options are 1) get married or one move out 2) ignore you and carry on with same. So what would you do in option one? Rejoice? What about option two? Are you going back over there for dinner and drop the subject or continue to urge them to get right with God or shake the dust off your feet? Yes I am still eating cake. It is too much fun!! |
