Subject: When were disciples born again? |
Bible Note: Hi Steve, Yes, and that was speaking of the born again experience, when Jesus came to earth. Notice the "I will" statements, are they present tense or future tense? Future! Ezek 36:25-27 The New Testament indicates the Jews were not able to perfectly obey God, neither were the Gentiles, that's all the people in the world. That is why Jesus came, to perfectly obey God, and thereby be worthy to bear the sins of all people for all time, and to create the church of believers, called the body of Christ made up of peoples out of the Jews and the Gentiles, the only pool of people that have ever been on the earth. See Eph 1:17-23, Eph 2:4-6, 10-16, I Cor 12:32. If that were not so, some would say, Jesus died in vain. However...Worthy is the Lamb! Rev 12:11 And they (believers) overcame him (who? satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (12) Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, (why?), because he knows that he has but a short time. (17) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |
