Bible Note: If the people in the Old Testament had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, then why did Jesus tell his disciple to wait on the Holy Ghost. Seems like to me they would not have had to wait on the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Spirit that keeps us save. We are saved from the condemnation of sin. As long as we don't fall into sin, then we remain saved. The Holy Spirit does not allow us to fall back into sin but He teaches us live Godly. Now, because of Abrahams faith toward God, It was counted to him as rightousness. Counted as rightous is not the same as being rightous. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is what allow a person to live Holy. Jesus said that when the Comforter comes, then He shall lead us into all truth. Many people beleived in God before Jesus was crucified but they still had to wait after the resurection. Can a person live in eror and still have the indwelling of Comforter? Is it not the Holy Spirit that seal us? |
