Bible Question:
San Lukas, do you understand what they are saying? Do you agree? I know that sometimes its hard to understand whats going on in the bible because it jumps around. In regards to your first question, the two verses do are not a contradiction because they are not referring to the same matter. The first verse , Isa:43:11, is the Lord telling us that besides Him, there is no other power that can save us. Meaning That if you don't come to the Lord God, you cannot be saved. Now Jesus, who is also called the son of God, is God in human-form. God sent himself to us so that he could understand our plight. So because Jesus came, we can be saved. Jesus, who is God, is the only way to be saved. No other gods can save you. |
Bible Answer: My question to this is after We call on the name and put our faith love and trust in Jesus, are we never expected to slip into sin, if we repeatedly ask forgiveness does that not show we truly are not coming to Him with a humble repentant heart? Can we be saved by just believing even though we sin cause Jesus did say- in James19 that demons believe too and tremble with fear thus making faith without action useless! And He said if we love him we will obey his commands! So will we never be saved if we dont completely stop sinning and change? |
