AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 1:12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name-- [Is 56:5] |
Subject: Question for Church of Christ. |
Bible Note: 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. From the above verse, I can say that the unregenerate person cannot know or understand the things of God. So to say obedience brings salvation would be putting the cart before the horse. I agree with you Hank, when you say obedience is for those who have been regenerated. Amen |
