Bible Question: But at the time of man's fall, Satan was being "Satan".........the evil one. I'm thinking his fall was long before that.Strongs concordance defines the Hebrew word for hosts as a huge amount of persons, creatures, spirit beings, or objects all of the same class as in Gen 2:1. So the hosts could refer to the creatures God made and put on earth....not necessarily angelic beings. Yes? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Chemprof, Satan had most definitely fell at the time of the temptation and fall of man. But the question is, "At what point did Satan fall?" It was either at or sometime before the fall of man. But Scripture does not specifically tell us when, even though Ezekiel 28:13 does mention (in my opinion) the 'pre-fallen' angelic being who was 'perfect in beauty' and who was in Eden, until "unrighteousness was found" (Ezek. 28:15) in him. I believe that Ezekiel 28:12-19 and Isaiah 14:12-17 are dual references to both the King of Tyre and to Satan. Blessings to you, Makarios |
