AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 6:37 ¶ "Do not judge [others self-righteously], and you will not be judged; do not condemn [others when you are guilty and unrepentant], and you will not be condemned [for your hypocrisy]; pardon [others when they truly repent and change], and you will be pardoned [when you truly repent and change]. Bible Note: Dear God's-elect, Your intent to place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the sinner is correct. While the Scripture affirms individual responsibility, your statement that "God does not send you to hell either... It is your sins that condem you" (sic) is not Biblical. The wrath of God is poured out on all who are disobedient (cf Isaiah 1:28; Colossians 3:6; Revelation 16; etc.) He is both judge and executioner. Let's be careful that our words accurately reflect the whole revealed truth about man and God, as teachers who will be judged for our right handling of the Word. In Him, Doc |
