Bible Note: Hello Ken, I agree that Paul is speaking of the depravity of humanity. I cannot agree that they are general statements. When words like "none" and "not one" and "no" are used, it seems all-encompassing. Nobody is left out. Besides even verse 9 tells us that all are under sin. Romans 3:9 (ESV) What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under the power of sin, I'm not sure where you're going with the conditions at Noah's time.
