Subject: Does anyone really *do* this? |
Bible Note: Dear Brian.g, Please listen to me: my friends tell me that I can be reasonable.. In all sincerity, I do appreciate your willingness to be a part of the Forum! By no means do I want to 'change' you or what you stand for! I have looked through all 41 of your posts, and you have done well in posting, yes you have! You believe in Jesus Christ, and that He rose from the dead! That is enough, my friend, for you to warrant brotherhood and for you to be a part of our fellowship! Please, I come to you in all humbleness and offer you an apology. I apologize for calling you a "little pious Catholic" and for any of the various disagreements (all centered on Catholicism) that we have openly displayed on the Forum. Please listen to me: My offer to you is to put this alleged "hatred" behind us and to begin to discuss things "anew"... However, we must do this WITHOUT any attempt to proselytize each other! I will stop throwing argument after argument after you if you will stop trying to convince me to be Catholic. I realize that most of the time, you are posting in "defense" since the majority of the users on this Forum are not Catholic. However, I would appreciate it if someone were to "reach out" to me if I wanted to contribute to a largely Catholic Forum, since I am Protestant in background and currently Anabaptist in worship! So you see, based on my "background", I should not want to have much of anything to do with you! But I am sincerely motivated by Jesus Christ, not by anything else! Please Brian, I hope and pray that you will return to our fellowship here, with assurance that I will no longer "lead the effort" in attacking Catholicism. I pray that we can mutually encourage each other because of Jesus, not because of all these other matters, my friend in Christ. We may disagree (and respectfully disagree at that), but "hatred" or any emotionally charged dialogue should not enter into the picture at all here and we should display love above all! So let us "bury the hatchet" and end this destructive conflict. Together, we can represent the Forum in a new way, bringing sensibility, wholesomeness, and a renewed Christian spirit back to the forefront here.. I pray that you will accept my offer and join us, without any threat of rebuke from me. However, if it becomes "apparent" that either one us of begins to "proselytize" again, then I will have no choice but to come to the defense of my fellow friends and colleagues here. I pray that we can exist in harmony together here, under the banner of Jesus Christ! Faithfully calling you back, Nolan |
